Co-design a mobile application to manage sustainable energy supply remotely.

The client sought to enhance the retail user experience and engaged Experientia for support.

As Ux and service designer, together with Experientia's team of researchers and service designers, I conducted user interviews to identify drivers of choice. It was decided to target users with contracts for second homes and develop services to encourage them to extend their contracts to their primary homes.

Thirteen stakeholders were involved in three participatory workshops to co-design a new communication and service approach. This resulted in the concept and low-fi prototype of a mobile app for remote energy supply management and related benefits.

Understand

During the firt part of the project the team analyzed case studies, communication campaigns, and applications for energy supply management.The aim was to identify standard services, energy market touch-points, ideas, and best practices that could inspire the design phase.

Furthermore, we conducted 13 one-to-one interviews with the company's stakeholders in order to identify critical issues and opportunities within the company.

After the research phase, me and my team continued our efforts by facilitating the co-design of solutions that carefully considered both user needs and company constraints. During three co-design workshops, we worked alongside project stakeholders to brainstorm and develop potential solutions to attract new retail customers.
